Single leg hop tests are an important assessment in determining a patient's readiness to return to sport following a lower limb injury such as ACL reconstruction and ankle sprain. However tests like the single and triple hop for distance don't assess the functional endurance of the lower limb, which is why I love the SIDE HOP test. Moral of the story; Hop as many times as you can for 30sec over 2 lines spaced 40cm apart. Landing on the line or inside the lines don't count. Aim is to be within 90
