Members of the Uvalde Police Department, Uvalde County Sheriff's Office, Uvalde Volunteer Fire Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, United States Border Patrol and others take part in a one-minute period of silence in honor of fallen Texas DPS Trooper Chad Walker, who died Wednesday after being shot last Friday. Walker, who joined the Texas DPS in 2015 and is survived by his wife and four children, was an organ donor. The local observance, which began at 1 p.m. Thursday, was organized
