Acted upon! This fresh looking Micromatic came in with just about every screw associated with the tonearm loose or wildly out of adjustment, to the point of major NEGATIVE stylus pressure! I don't know what somebody was trying to do, but they failed. The cartridge did have a dead channel but somebody went screwdriver crazy. All better now. Just starting to get gummy, so a good thing it came in for its 60 year service. We replaced the cartridge with a #Tetrad and a new wiring harness. See the pho

#Zenith made the transition to #BSR record changers after #VM went out of business in 1977. Seems they started purchasing BSR changers before that. This has the Zenith 2G arm design and a white molded platter. Late model all-plastic clear cartridge on this is still in great condition. This is a lower mid-grade model with a one piece platter and without a cueing lever. VM definitely purchased more deluxe models with metal planners and more accessories for their better units.
