The tornado warning came through 1 minute after going through my house. Once again, as others have said, a QLCS was to blame. It barely shows up as a couplet on radar. 2 gates in two frames is all you see on the velocity. The warning was issued after the CC spike was obvious that a tornado was on the ground.

The warning is "an immediate threat to life or property," so tornado warnings are sent out if there is an observed tornado or radar indicated rotation. When the radar indicates rotation, it may not be on the ground, but very well could be or could be at any moment.
