2018 iPad Pro owners - Have you upgraded to the M4 iPad?
Jun 30, 2024 · Hi all, I have a 2018 12.9in iPad Pro and can't decide on whether to upgrade to the M4 13in Pro. The main issue with my current iPad is the subpar battery, which cannot be replaced by Apple (they claim battery health is >80% when it clearly isn't).

Jun 30, 2024 · Yes. My main iPad Pro was a 2018 11" with 512 GB of storage. I've now moved to a 1 TB iPad Pro M4 11". The 2018 has now been relegated to other duties -- it's still too good to get rid of. I'm very happy with the new iPad Pro M4.

Dec 17, 2014 · OP, with the iPad Air M2 you will be getting significantly more performance than your 2018 iPP (about 3x faster), twice the RAM, faster memory speeds etc and also Landscape oriented centre stage camera and the ability to use the Pencil Pro.

Dec 2, 2024 · I upgraded from a 2018 11 inch iPad Pro to a 2022 12.9 iPad Pro when Best Buy had that sale a couple of months ago when they were getting rid of the stock for the new 2024 iPad Pros. For me, the screen size made a difference in reading PDFs. I can't really go back to the 11 inch screen now. It looks too small now.

Apr 19, 2019 · Pencil 2 on the 11" Pro / 12.9" 2018 Pro is much less awkward because it magnetically attaches and charges on the iPad Pro. Plus the double-tap really is a nice feature. Otherwise, it feels exactly like the Pencil on the 10.5" (except that the original Pencil is all round and will roll off the table).

Jul 12, 2008 · My iPad Pro 12,9 2018 started showing the 1-sided charging behavior yesterday, too (at least I noticed it then). I pinpointed it to the charging cable orientation by trying it with 2 cables and 2 chargers in every combination.

Jan 29, 2019 · From what I gather – the miniLED display is a worthy upgrade to the 2017/2018/2020 iPad Pro display, on almost any front. Jump from 2017 4gb iPad Pro 10.5 to 6GB 11-inch 2020 Pro was very significant to me, so I can imagine that a jump from 4 to 8 (or 16) GBs would be even more significant.
