Je’Von Evans is headed to NXT Heatwave to face Oba Femi for the NXT Championship. Evans earned his shot by defeating Trick Williams in a number one contender’s match in the main event on the August 19th episode of NXT. The finish saw Mike Santana appear in the balcony and make a gun motion towards Trick.

Oba Femi has kept the NXT men’s division tightly in his grip, holding its prestigious championship — the one previously held by the likes of Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor — for nearly the entirety of 2025.

"WWE LGF" winner Tyra Mae Steele will make her premium live event debut in mixed tag action at "NXT" Heatwave.

Masha Slamovich kept her word and called the action right down the middle as Fatal Influence defeated The Elegance Brand on WWE NXT.
