A hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a Connecticut state trooper last year has pleaded guilty to a manslaughter charge and agreed to serve an 18-year prison sentence.

The man who is accused of hitting and killing Connecticut State Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier on Interstate 84 in Southington in May, then leaving the scene, has accepted a plea deal and will spend 18 years in prison.

A man accused of hitting and killing a state trooper last year was scheduled to make a court appearance on Tuesday.

A man charged in the hit-and-run that killed a Connecticut State Police trooper in May 2024 is expected to face a judge Tuesday in New Britain.
