Lebanon and Hezbollah have blamed Israel for the attacks on Tuesday and Wednesday that killed 37 people and wounded around 3,000, although Israel has not directly commented on the attacks, which security sources say were probably carried out by its Mossad spy agency.

Hassan Nasrallah refused to say when or how Hezbollah would take revenge. As he spoke, Israeli fighter jets swooped low over Beirut.

The Israeli Air Force launched renewed attacks on Lebanon on Thursday, as tensions run high following the waves of coordinated blasts involving Lebanese electronic devices widely attributed to Israel.

Israel allegedly set up a shell company that has supplied Hezbollah with pagers since 2022, according to a US media report. Pagers were used in an explosives attack in Lebanon on Tuesday, which left 12 members of the terror group dead and thousands injured.
