Susan Smith, convicted nearly 30 years ago for drowning her sons, will be eligible for parole on November 20 despite a recent disciplinary charge.

According to CNN, following her admission of having committed the murders, Susan Smith was arrested and later convicted in 1995. She was given a life sentence with parole eligibility after 30 years.

On Nov. 20, 2024, Smith was denied parole. Months before Susan Smith received her first disciplinary measures after being transferred for having sex with two prison guards, she asked for a new trial.
