An ambulance was headed west on 35th Street with its lights and sirens activated, when it collided with an SUV that was headed north on Leavitt Street.

A Chicago Fire Department ambulance crashed into an SUV, resulting in the hospitalization of two paramedics Tuesday night in the McKinley Park neighborhood.

Around 9:10 p.m., the ambulance was traveling with lights and sirens westbound on 35th Street when it hit an SUV going north on Leavitt Street, Chicago police said.

Investigators have released video showing a crash that killed one person and injured two others during a police chase last month on the South Side.The crash happened shortly before 2 a.m. on Oct. 1 at the intersection of 35th Street and Ashland Avenue in the McKinley Park neighborhood.
