Two more people have been charged with murder in the death of a man from Minnesota​ who authorities say was tortured for more than a month before being killed in upstate New York.

Two more suspects have been arrested in the brutal killing of Sam Nordquist, a 24-year-old transgender man who died in upstate New York after enduring more than two months of torture and abuse, authorities said Friday.

The mother of a Minnesota transgender man who was tortured and killed in upstate New York suggested that his death was preventable if local authorities had "done their jobs."
