Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) was announced as Trump’s pick for leading the Justice Department on Wednesday—surprising many Republicans in Washington. Republican Rep. Max Miller (Ohio) said he does not think Gaetz will be confirmed by the Senate, adding that he is not the only lawmaker “happy” the lower chamber would be rid of him.

Over the last two years, a narrow Republican House majority has fought bitterly over everything from electing a speaker, keeping the government functioning and even passage of symbolic messaging bills.
