Rattler is a former top collegiate prospect whose draft stock plummeted late in his NCAA career. He ended up making seven appearances and six starts for the Saints in 2024, throwing for 1,317 yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions while completing 57 percent of his passes. Not great.

That leaves the New Orleans Saints, who are still deciding between second-year pro Spencer Rattler and rookie Tyler Shough. Saints head coach Kellen Moore addressed the competition Tuesday. He sounds no closer to making a decision than he was at the start of training camp.
