By Muvija M LONDON (Reuters) -Net migration to Britain soared far above original estimates in 2023, to a record 900,000, although tougher visa rules have started to reduce the number of arrivals, official data showed on Thursday.
Net migration hit record 906,000 last year, revised figures show
The number has since fallen to 728,000 in year to June, the Office for National Statistics estimated in its latest figures.

LONDON (Reuters) - Fewer people came to Britain on an annual basis in the 12 months to June, official data showed on Thursday. Data from the Office for National Statistics showed a net migration of 728,000 in the year to the end of June, lower than the updated 906,000 posted for the previous year.
