Liam Payne's close pal Roger Nores is suing the late musician's father, Geoff Payne, for defamation as he accuses him of making false statements in sworn declarations to police

The Argentine businessman isn't just suing Geoff Payne for damaging his reputation, but also for alleging that the British singer was under his care during his final days.

Nores alleges that Geoff Payne misrepresented his friendship with Liam to an Argentine prosecutor and insists he "did not have a legal duty to Liam" and his care

Geoff needs to backtrack on his sworn statement as he very well knows I wasn’t Liam’s nurse or care taker,” Nores tells Page Six.
