The West Point Kia plant is gearing up to add a fifth model to its assembly line early next year. The addition was announced Thursday in Los Angeles. Beginning early next year, the EV6 will become the fifth Kia model assembled at the sprawling West Point facility.

The 2025 Kia EV6 made its U.S. debut Thursday at the 2024 Los Angeles auto show with updated styling, bigger battery packs, and confirmation of U.S. assembly.

For 2025, Kia is bringing the EV6 more into the family with some styling cues designed to match other Kia models.

The biggest mechanical highlights about the 2025 Kia EV6 essentially follow along the Hyundai IONIQ 5 's improvements, the EV6's corporate twin. Two new batteries are now offered, with the entry level one now rated at 63 kWh (versus 58 kWh) and the top-spec at 84 kWh (versus 77.4 kWh).
