Moore's brother-in-law and drummer Griffin "Griff" Goldsmith of the band Dawes took to Instagram to praise Duff for letting Moore stay with her after the family's home was deemed uninhabitable. Moore is married to Dawes singer Taylor Goldsmith and the pair share three children.

Mandy Moore’s brother-in-law, Griffin Goldsmith, revealed the 'This Is Us' alum and her family are staying with Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma amid the L.A. fires. He added, "They’ve taken care of my entire family from the moment this began.

Mandy previously said that the main structure of the home she shares with her husband and three young children is “not livable but mostly intact.”

Moore and Duff came of age in Hollywood at the same time as iconic teen stars in the early 2000s. They both had Disney projects serve as major launching pads for their acting careers (Duff in “Lizzy Maguire” and Moore in “The Princess Diaries”) and also released several popular songs during their respective music careers.

The wildfires, which began last week on Tuesday, January 7, after strong Santa Ana Winds ignited brush fires, forced thousands of people to evacuate, including Moore and her family. Moore shared on Thursday, January 9 that their home was severely damaged by the fire, with the main part still standing but uninhabitable.
