An I.C.C. arrest warrant for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the war in Gaza spurred outrage across Israel’s political spectrum. But in the long term, it’s not a good look for a prime minister.

Benjamin Netanyahu has become the fourth world leader to be issued with an arrest warrant for crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Court (ICC). It puts him alongside Vladimir Putin of Russia, Omar al-Bashir of Sudan, and Muammar Gaddafi of Libya.

The leaders are accused of crimes against humanity and war crimes over the war in Gaza and the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel.
