A local grandmother and her three grandchildren were killed in the crash in 2023. Investigators said they believe a teenager caused the crash. Troopers said the teen’s father could’ve done more to prevent the tragedy.

The dad, 68-year-old Richard Ferguson, is now charged with four counts of vehicular homicide in the September 2023 crash that claimed the lives of a 50-year-old woman, an 11-year-old girl, a 9-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
