The Charlotte Hornets have not had a favorable schedule, on a current nine-game road trip, but have not made it easy on themselves either. The Hornets took a crushing 128-92 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, extending their losing streak to four games.

That’s because the Warriors are hammering teams on the margins, ranking first in the NBA in points off turnovers — nearly five points clear of everyone at 29.3 per contest. They’re also tied for first in second-chance points (18.3), and their 52 points per game in the paint is nearly eight points better than their usual 45.4, which ranks 24th.
