Schools and colleges in the Imphal Valley and Jiribam districts of Manipur have reopened today after being shut down for 13 days after violence between the Meitei and Kuki-Zo communities resulted in the deaths of three children and three women.

Educational institutes in these districts have remained closed since November 16 after the dead bodies of three women and three children in Jiribam were recovered from the Jiri and Barak rivers.
