Aaditya Thackeray, the Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate and former state minister, successfully secured a second term, overcoming stiff competition from Milind Deora of the ruling Shiv Sena and Sandeep Deshpande of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).

As of 1:45 PM on Saturday, Aaditya Thackeray held a lead of 6,120 votes over Milind Deora, with 12 of the 17 counting rounds completed. Deora, a former Congress MP who joined Shinde’s Shiv Sena earlier this year, had briefly overtaken Thackeray during the initial rounds of counting before the latter regained his advantage.

Aaditya Thackeray, the sitting MLA from Shiv Sena (UBT) is taking on Milind Deora, a member of the Shiv Sena and Rajya Sabha, and Sandeep Deshpande of the MNS in the Worli assembly seat in the Maharashtra Assembly elections.
