After falling behind by 21 points, North Carolina mounted a big comeback to stun Dayton and move on in the Maui Invitational. They did it behind a strong performance from Seth Trimble and RJ Davis in the second half. While things looked bleak for a while, UNC was able to orchestrate that second-half comeback with a few runs.

The No. 12 North Carolina Tar Heels trailed by as many as 21 points in the second half before Seth Trimble and RJ Davis rallied UNC to a 92-90 win over the Dayton Flyers.

The No. 12 UNC men’s basketball team (6-1) overcame Dayton (5-1), 92-90, on Monday evening at the Maui Invitational.
