It’s Election Day, and Texans are heading to the polls to cast votes for national, statewide and local races. The biggest race of the election is undoubtedly the presidential matchup between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.

If you're voting on Election Day, polls in Texas are open from 7 a.m. through 7 p.m. local time. As long as you're in the line by 7 p.m., you will be allowed to vote even if you haven’t been admitted inside a polling place. You have the right to stay in line as long as it takes to be able to cast your ballot.
Texas AG to deploy ‘rapid response legal team’ to polling places on Election Day
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) will deploy poll watchers to “major counties” across the state on Election Day. The announcement comes as the capstone to three months of allegations by Texas Republicans that state and national Democrats intend to commit widespread voter fraud — charges for which the state GOP has not provided evidence.
