Cher alleged in her new memoir that she caught ex-husband Sonny Bono cheating on her with his secretary around 1967, when she was suffering from her third miscarriage.

“Cher: The Memoir, Part One” is here – and proving the pop icon is more than "strong enough" to talk about her past. Even when that past involves talking about some uncomfortable topics, including the age gap between her and late ex-husband Sonny Bono.

The diva was duped by Bono, who had set up a company called Cher Enterprises in which he owned 95 percent, with the other 5 percent going to his lawyer.

Though Cher and Sonny Bono’s marriage lasted less than a decade, their musical hits endured. Yet Cher details in her new memoir that the success of her creative partnership with her late husband wasn’t equally shared.

I figured I’d plead insanity … Then I’d get a book deal and my own show,” Cher alleges Sonny told her after admitting to thinking about killing her.

While Sonny passed in 1998, according to Rolling Stone Cher still isn’t fully financial free of him. Despite securing a victory in her Sonny And Cher royalty lawsuit against Bono’s widow Mary, opposing counsel have gone on to argue that Cher isn’t “entitled” to the finances.
