President-elect Donald Trump has picked Russell Vought, a key architect of Project 2025 and defender of strong presidential powers, as OMB director.

Russell Vought, to his Cabinet. Trump said Friday that he has picked Vought to lead the Office of Management and Budget, a role that would put Vought in charge of overseeing the White House budget and enact Trump’s policies across the executive branch.

Trump named Vought, who played a central role in designing Project 2025, to head up the Office of Management and Budget in his second term.
