A man who died in a crash of a small plane during a New Mexico air show was an accomplished pilot who had performed stunts at hundreds of air shows, authorities said Monday. Several are remembering Chuck Coleman through social media posts, including fellow pilots who remember him for his mentorship.

An incident involving a single airplane was reported at the Las Cruces Air and Space Expo Sunday afternoon at about 2:30 p.m. The incident resulted in the death of the pilot, the sole passenger of the the aircraft, said New Mexico State Police Officer Amanda Richards.
