It’s almost time for Geoff Keighley’s next major gaming show. The 2025 edition of Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event kicks off at 2PM ET today, and you can watch everything on the official livestream on The Game Awards’ YouTube channel. Ahead of the main event, there will also be a preshow at 1:30PM ET featuring “multiple new game announcements.”

The important stuff: the Opening Night Live pre-show begins at 6.30pm UK time, and the main show at 7pm (8pm CEST / 2pm EDT / 11 am PDT). You don't need to do anything but keep this page open and watch and comment, and the coverage will roll in.

Gamescom 2025 officially begins with the Opening Night Live show in the evening of August 19, 2025. The trade fair, held at the Koelnmesse exhibition center in Cologne, will then open its doors the following day on August 20, though only for trade visitors, members of the media, creators, and other specific ticket holders.
