A Cape May County grade-school teacher is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student and birthing his baby when the boy was 13, a court record said. Laura Caron, 34, slept and showered with the boy, who began living at her Cape May Court House home at the age of 11, according to a probable cause statement.

A New Jersey teacher is accused of sexually assaulting a young student and having a child him when he was just 13 and living in her home, according to court documents.

Laura Caron, a 5th-grade teacher at Middle Township Elementary School, allegedly had an "inappropriate sexual relationship" with the student when they lived together at Caron’s home in Cape May Court House, an unincorporated community, between 2016 and 2020, according to a press release from the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
