Hundreds of people gathered at Washington Square Park in downtown Salt Lake City on Thursday, protesting the Trump administrations's raids on undocumented immigrants. Then they marched to the federal building.
Around 400 people in Akron protested ICE actions in solidarity with demonstrators in Los Angeles. Around 400 residents gathered peacefully at Akron's Highland Square on the evening of June 11 to stand in solidarity with protesters in Los Angeles over federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement actions against immigrants.
The peaceful protest began shortly after 6 p.m. and soon tripled in size as people congregated in front of a road closure, occupied by at least six members of the California National Guard.
Demonstrators marched against deportations and immigrant detention as tactical officers monitored the peaceful rally.
