"Per an agreement with the MLBPA, Cleveland Guardians pitcher Emmanuel Clase has been placed on non-disciplinary paid leave through games on August 31st while MLB continues its sports betting investigation," MLB said in a statement. "We will not comment further until the investigation has been completed."

MLB's Department of Investigations is handling the investigation of Guardians pitchers Luis Ortiz and Emmanuel Clase.

Domínguez began the day in his second season with the Baltimore Orioles, who acquired him at the trade deadline last season. One trade later, he was a member of the Toronto Blue Jays, pitching a scoreless inning against their opponent, the Baltimore Orioles.
