LAS VEGAS — As Charles Leclerc made his rounds inside the post-race media pen, the video screens behind him showed Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz riding in a Rolls Royce en route to the podium interviews.

Leclerc came close to overtaking George Russell for the lead but then dropped back to fourth after an issue with his car. He then fought with Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and though he overtook the Dutchman, he could not catch Sainz and finished where he started.

A frustrated Charles Leclerc launched into an uncharacteristic rant over the radio after he finished behind Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The 27-year-old started the race behind Sainz but after a strong start, he was eyeing up race leader George Russell, who would eventually go on to secure victory.

At the beginning off the race, Sainz was in P2 with Leclerc in P4. The Monegasque driver started the race strongly, overtaking Pierre Gasly and also his Spanish teammate to put himself into second behind only George Russell, who started the day in pole position.
