The 2024 version of “The People’s Tree” is an 80-foot Sitka Spruce that came 4,000 miles from Wrangell, Alaska to take center stage for the holidays. The Capitol has displayed a Christmas tree every year since 1964.

The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree, adorned in 5,000 LED lights and 10,000 hand-made ornaments, lit up the skies in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday night during a ceremony to ring-in the 2024 holiday season.
