Police and team staff stepped in to break up the fight, which intensified after Michigan planted its flag on Ohio State's field.

The Buckeyes took exception to the Wolverines planting their 'Block M' flag at midfield, and a full-on brawl broke out between the two bitter rivals. While the brawl continued, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day was caught on camera looking back at the skirmish and making no move or effort to get his players back into their locker rooms.

The No. 2-ranked Buckeyes were 19½-point favorites. Many of Ohio State's seniors, who delayed going to the NFL for one last crack at beating their archrival, will end their careers without beating Michigan.
