Earlier this week a report emerged suggested the Carolina Panthers received trade calls on former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young. ESPN's Dan Graziano revealed the Panthers got calls on Young, while the Indianapolis Colts also received calls on quarterback Anthony Richardson.

The Carolina Panthers reportedly don't plan to go into firesale mode at the 2024 NFL trade deadline. However, it would come as a surprise if they didn't pull off at least another deal or two before the deadline passes next week after sending Diontae Johnson to the Baltimore Ravens yesterday for a order of cheese fries and a medium Pepsi.

ESPN's Dan Graziano reported that the Panthers fielded some calls on Young ahead of Tuesday's NFL trade deadline, but opted to stick by their quarterback.

Considering the circumstances, Bryce Young played relatively well for the Carolina Panthers in Sunday's road loss to the Denver Broncos. While his final stat line was far from pretty, Young had his best game yet of 2024 while facing an elite defense and without two of the team's three best wide receivers in the lineup.

Bryce Young's name had been floated around in trade talks over the last few weeks. After deciding to hold onto him, Carolina isn't giving up hope just yet on their former No.1 pick.

Panthers general manager Dan Morgan insisted that the team never intended to trade Bryce Young, but he remained noncommittal about his future as a franchise quarterback.
