Flight delays stayed minimal this week despite a Midwest snowstorm and record travelers, but the busiest day is still ahead.

As of the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 27, there were already more than 550 flight cancellations and delays nationwide. In Texas, El Paso flights have not been affected as of yet. However, there have been at least 70 delays across major Texas airports in Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio.

Airlines are encouraging passengers to check flight statuses before heading to the airport, though no waivers have been issued for weather-related changes or cancellations. Meanwhile, the Transportation Security Administration is gearing up for record-breaking passenger numbers,
