The Chicago White Sox scratched Adrian Houser from Wednesday’s scheduled start. It was done with the trade deadline in mind.

The Rays acquired veteran pitcher Adrian Houser from the White Sox in an effort bolster their starting rotation.

Houser has a 6-2 record and a 2.10 ERA in 11 starts with the White Sox this season. He has 47 strikeouts in 68.2 innings, but also has a 1.22 WHIP and a Wins Above Replacement of 3.0 on the season.
