Shakira’s concert in Medellín, Colombia has been postponed due to stage safety concerns. The news comes on the heels of a cancellation for a show in Lima, Peru last week due to the superstar singer’s hospitalization for an undisclosed “abdominal issue.

Shakira has shared an "abdominal issue" landed her in the emergency room over the weekend. The international superstar said she was hospitalized and under the care of doctors in a Sunday social media post, where she said she would not be able to perform at her scheduled Peru show that evening. The show was later rescheduled to Monday night.

Shakira says that she will resume her world tour and perform in Lima, Peru, Monday evening, following the cancellation of a concert over the weekend due to a stomach illness.

The roof of the stage installed at Estadio Atanasio Girardot endured damage, concert promoter Páramo Presenta said.

Shakira's Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour has hit another roadblock in South America. The trek's Medellin, Colombia concert has been postponed due to safety concerns. A statement from event organiser Paramo Presenta explained: "During the process of setting up the show scheduled for 24 February,
