They lost Tank Dell to a devastating knee injury a few weeks ago, and of course they also lost their major offseason acquisition, Stefon Diggs, earlier in the year. And if C.J. Stroud has his way, Diggs will be back next season.
Entering the offseason, Diggs is the fourth-ranked receiver option entering free agency, trailing Cincinnati’s Tee Higgins (No. 1), Tampa Bay’s Chris Godwin (No. 5) and Buffalo’s Amari Cooper (No. 18). All three are expected to sign multi-year deal while Diggs could ink a one-year prove-it contract to cash one last time in 2026.
Stefon Diggs might have options on the open market, but one NFL insider views Houston as his best location for the 2025 season.
The Houston Texans' season ended in the divisional round of the playoffs following a 23-14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

In his first season with the Texans, Diggs caught 47 passes for 496 yards and three touchdowns before tearing his ACL in October. At 31 years old and coming off an ACL tear, Diggs might not be in the prime of his career, but he is clearly valued by his Texans teammates.
The Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs kicked off on Saturday evening with the Houston Texans taking on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs prepare to part ways with Mike Borgonzi, a key piece of their front office, just one day before facing the Texans in the playoffs.

The Buffalo Bills find themselves in a familiar place, feeling the sting from another heartbreaking playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and wondering what they have to do to get Josh Allen over the hump and into the Super Bowl.
Jones has guaranteed money remaining in 2025 thanks to the extension he signed last March, but designating him as a post-June 1 release can still save the Bills some $5.5 million against the cap. That's not nothing considering how much financial restructuring Buffalo has ahead of it this offseason.
