Former Aston Villa player, Andy Gray, has advised Arsenal to make a stunning £100million bid to ‘tempt’ Aston Villa to sell their star striker Ollie Watkins. According to Gray, Watkins is a better finisher than the Germany international.

Aston Villa were ‘furious’ with the Arsenal approach, and it was a bit of a d*ck move. Not because they’ve made a bid for Watkins, who didn’t magically turn up at Villa after all, but because making the bid so close to arguably Villa’s biggest game of the season is hardly going to ease negotiations.

Marrying his attacking and creative attributes together, Watkins’ off-ball running is also a key part of his wider contribution to his team going forward. Across the Premier League, he is one of the men most likely to stretch the opposition’s defensive line with his intelligent movement.
