A Swedish artist is about to have the dream of a lifetime fulfilled: A little red model house he created was launched into space this week and, if all goes according to plan, put on the surface of the moon.

SpaceX sent up the second launch of the year from the Space Coast on Monday afternoon. A Falcon 9 carrying 24 of the company's Starlink internet satellites took off at 3:43 p.m. Eastern time from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station's Space Launch Complex 40.

The Blue Origin rocket was delayed to no earlier than 1 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12 due to unfavorable conditions offshore. The company delayed the launch to maximize chances at successfully landing the first-stage of the new rocket on its drone ship in the Atlantic. This brings the SpaceX launch to the front of the line.
