Nominations for the 97th annual Academy Awards were announced early morning at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles by “Saturday Night Live” standout Bowen Yang, who starred in this year’s “ Wicked ,” and writer-actor Rachel Sennott.
