Adidas announced Thursday it has signed 16-year-old Kaleena Smith, a five-star recruit from Ontario Christian High School, to its first NIL deal for a high school women's basketball player. Smith becomes the company's first signing under three-time WNBA champion Candace Parker,

With Candace Parker at the helm, adidas demonstrates its commitment to elevating women's basketball from the ground up.

Adidas is wading more into the NIL market through a new deal with women's high school basketball star Kaleena Smith.

Smith is the first women’s basketball high school NIL athlete, joining a roster of Adidas women’s basketball players including, Chelsea Gray, Kahleah Copper, Aliyah Boston, Aaliyah Edwards, Nneka Ogwumike, Betnijah Laney, Layshia Clarendon, Sophie Cunningham, Erica Wheeler, Zia Cooke, Alysha Clark, and Janiah Barker.
