The University of Pennsylvania's decision to ban transgender female athletes from competing in women's sports to resolve a civil rights complaint by the Department of Education is being slammed by LGBTQ activists and legal experts as unconstitutional.

Transgender swimmer Lia Thomas may be stripped of her titles after the University of Pennsylvania agreed to the Trump administration's demands to ban transgender athletes from women's sports on Tuesday,

UPenn will need to "restore to female athletes all individual UPenn Division I swimming records, titles, or similar recognitions which were misappropriated by male athletes allowed to compete in female categories.
