Democratic strategist David Axelrod warned that comedian Tony Hinchcliffe's joke about Puerto Rico at a rally for former President Donald Trump in New York could prove costly for the Republican candidate.

The former president made the claim at a round-table discussion in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, days after a comic disparaged Puerto Rico during Sunday’s Trump rally in New York.

"I am hearing more on this than I’ve heard on almost any other issue this entire campaign season,” U.S. Rep. Susan Wild said.
