MUMBAI (Reuters) -Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das has been discharged from hospital where he was earlier admitted after experiencing acidity, a spokesperson for the central bank said on Tuesday.

Shaktikanta Das, Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), was admitted to the hospital in Apollo hospital, Chennai due to severe acidity on Tuesday, November 26. According to an RBI spokeswoman cited by ANI,

RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das, 67, was briefly hospitalized in Chennai for acidity. An RBI spokesperson confirmed he's doing well and will be discharged soon. Acidity can cause heartburn and nausea, and severe cases may require hospitalization for complications like chest pain or dehydration.
