MLB Home Run Derby on Monday will set the stage for the Midsummer Classic, and there's a litany of All-Stars part of the Home Run Derby 2025 field. Atlanta's Matt Olson will be the fan favorite, but Seattle's Cal Raleigh,

Raleigh will become the second-ever player to switch hit in the Derby ( Adley Rutschman in 2023, lost 2nd round), plus no catcher has ever won the derby. This is year 39 of the event, so odds are against Raleigh despite him being the favorite.

There's not much better than the game's best power hitters showing off their strength and skill during the Derby. Tonight, we'll get to witness James Wood, Byron Buxton, Oneil Cruz, Jazz Chisholm, Cal Raleigh, Matt Olson, Junior Caminero and Brent Rooker battle it out to decide the 2025 champion.

But the Senior Circuit clinched the win in thrilling fashion and has now won two of the last three All-Star Games after the AL won nine in a row from 2013 through 2022. Schwarber went 0-for-2 with a walk during the actual game but still took home the MVP award because of his clutch performance in the Home Run Derby.

A stage like the Home Run Derby is a perfect match for Chisholm, who is one of the more exciting and flamboyant players in the game. The 27-year-old has been on a tear at the plate since returning from an early-season oblique injury. He’ll try to continue that level of success in Atlanta.

On the call Monday night will be a familiar voice as ESPN's Karl Ravech leads the broadcast team along with Eduardo Pérez and Todd Frazier. Frazier, who won the event in 2015, will be making his Derby broadcasting debut after previously calling Little League games for the network.

Brent Rooker proved to be a double threat on Monday night when he fulfilled both his duties as a dad and an MLB player during the All-Star Home Run Derby.
