Louisiana lawmakers saved the state's tax credit as part of a sweeping set of tax reform bills that are headed the governor's desk coming out of a special legislative session.

The film tax credit has helped attract big-budget companies like G Unit studios to Louisiana. Its owner, Curtis 50 Cent Jackson, has said the studio would create jobs and bring a significant economic boost to Shreveport.

The special session to rewrite Louisiana’s tax code continued today at the state capitol, where proposed changes could affect everyday services such as car washes.
