U.S Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer, R-Oregon, said she was part of the group of President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet nominees who were targeted with threats of violence Tuesday night. Chavez-DeRemer, Trump's pick for U.S. secretary of labor, said on social media that she and her family received a threat of a pipe bomb at their Happy Valley home.

Chavez-DeRemer, who was defeated by her Democrat opponent in the 2024 elections, was picked by Trump to lead the Department of Labor.

President-elect Donald Trump on Friday threw a curveball to business-friendly conservatives by announcing Republican Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer of Oregon as his pick to serve as the next secretary of the Department of Labor.

There was no evidence to support the claim, which was made by a comedian, when it was made. Trump later picked an Oregon lawmaker for the job.
