Patrick Mahomes will probably find a new way to celebrate a big play moving forward. The Kansas City Chiefs' star quarterback was fined over $14,000 by the NFL for what was deemed a "violent gesture" during Kansas City's Week 11 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Patrick Mahomes has been fined nearly $15,000 by the NFL for unsportsmanlike conduct. According to NBC Sports, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, 29, was fined $14,069 for a "violent gesture" he made in the fourth quarter of the team's away game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Nov. 17. The Chiefs lost the matchup in a final score of 30-21.

The Buffalo Bills took down the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 30-21 in Week 11, handing the defending champions their first loss of 2024. While the loss ended the Chiefs’ pursuit of history, Patrick Mahomes suffered more than just his first loss of the year in the game.

With the Chiefs at the Buffalo one-yard line at the 7:53 mark of the final quarter, Mahomes hit tight end Noah Gray for a short touchdown pass to decrease the Bills' lead to 23-21. In celebration, the three-time Super Bowl MVP gave the finger guns gesture using both of his hands.
